2018 NEBRASKA BASEBALL HALL OF FAME NEWS RELEASE
2018 Nebraska Baseball Hall of Fame Banquet
Seven players and a Distinguished Service recipient will be honored at the 2018 Nebraska Baseball Hall of Fame banquet in Beatrice on Sunday, February 11, 2018. This popular annual event will take place at the Holiday Express, 4005 N. 6th in Beatrice. Doors open at 4:00 P.M. with dinner being served at 5:00. Museum tours of the “Hall” will be from 2:00-4:00 at 111 South 8th St.
Two of this year's inductees are from Omaha. Home run hitting slugger, Steve Russell will be honored as a player and Larry O'Brien will receive the Distinguished service award. Other players to be inducted include: Bill Cotton, All American from McCook, Terrell Dreamer a fireballer from Elmwood, Albert Parr, a great old time pitcher from Scribner, Floyd Thierolf, professional pitcher from Fremont, John Svehla a powerful home run hitter from York, and Jan Wall, the hard throwing flame thrower out of Lincoln.
